Welcome to our Friesian Owners page. Please find below a step by step guide on how to register a horse in your name. You will need to be a member of FHAGBI to have the Registration documents updated but Passport updates are available to anyone holding a KFPS passport, on receipt of adequate proof of ownership. Please note there is a potential £5,000 fine if DEFRA find your passport has not been updated within 30 days of change of ownership!
1. Follow this link to become a GOLD member of FHAGBI which also gives you membership of the KFPS. http://www.fhagbi.co.uk/online_store.html
2. On the back of your laminated registration papers there are some white boxes for you to enter your name and address. Fill this in and send them directly to the KFPS studbook office in The Netherlands - the address is on the bottom right of the front of the papers.
They will check you are a member then send you an invoice for €45.50 (deposit for the certificate, refunded on sale or death of horse) and €18.05 for admin. This can be paid by paypal or by sending sterling payment to our treasurer Julian Atkins firstname.lastname@example.org who will pay it in euros on your behalf.
3. When your papers arrive back you need to send a copy of them with your passport and a cheque for £7.15 to Sarah Dobson using the form on this link - http://www.fhagbi.co.uk/passports.html. The passport will be updated into your name which is a legal requirement within 30 days of purchase.
