World Friesian Horse Association

Procedures for changing the registered owner

After the purchase of a horse the Studbook Certificate can be sent to the KFPS complete with the new owner´s (and if possible the previous owner´s) details and address on the reverse side of the certificate. If this is not possible the registration can also be submitted in writing. If the Studbook certificate has been lost, this application must include the declaration of a veterinarian, equine passport consultant or a representative of the KFPS/foreign breeding association which states the microchip number. Studbook registration will only then take place if the (new) owner is a member of the KFPS.

Further information on the KFPS registration procedures can be found at the KFPS website
